The highest of compliments

Today, I was blog stalking (basically reading all sorts of random people's blogs, cooking blogs and craft blogs mostly) I was recently talking with my friend Amy about how there are a whole lot of mormon mom bloggers. (Be careful, once I was reading a blog and found out that it was written by someone I knew... and it was a little weird.) Anyway, today I found this blog on a link party. I just LOVED the quote she drew up. It is currently my background on my computer (Which was ready for a change)

I love this quote because it reminds me of my mom. She is an amazing example of service and commitment to her family and even to those who aren't her family. Her stains may be from grouting someone's tile, cleaning someone's house, making a meal for someone. The car might be messy on the inside from driving van loads of smelly kids from girls camp/trek/scout camp/youth conference... the list goes on and on and on. She really is amazing.

One time, we were all sitting at dinner and my little brother said something along the lines of "Well mom, you've done pretty good... considering." Now, we probably don't really know what he meant. But, I hope that someday, someone can say: "Well, she did pretty good, considering." about me. It would be the highest of compliments.
