why I have backed away from Rom-Com's

I used to be the kind of girl who loved a romantic comedy. All of them, I just loved them, could watch them all day. However, as of late... they're not my favorite. I still love the classics, While You Were Sleeping, You've Got Mail, etc. But for the most part, I'd rather go see a shoot 'em up movie...

Today, however, my roommate and I got "Life as we know it" at the Redbox.

It's a little like Raising Helen, but with two people...

..and I hated it. It got over and I hated it. Do you know why?

It made me wish for a friend to die in a freak accident and leave me their baby to raise with an attractive friend who I hated but soon fell in love with.

This is about as plausible as me running into the man of my dreams in the express lane at the supermarket, when I have 13 items instead of 10.  (Scroll to the end of this post to understand this one Shopping Cart Love)

And what kind of jerk wishes her friends would die so she could have their kid...

Me.

I'm that kind of jerk.
