On a lighter note.

Yes, friends the pun was intended... Because!

Today at work, I realized something that is both good and bad. The pants I bought over Christmas DON"T FIT--anymore... they're too big (which is the best kind of not fitting, right?).

Here's the bad news: I can't wear jeans to work! I have 2 pair of pants I just bought that don't fit anymore, and 3 or 4 pair that don't quite fit yet :/

The good news: I only spent $1.29 on each pair (or rather I have a great mom who bought them for me). That's right folks. The Goodwill at home has their color of the week tags on sale for $1.29 every Monday. The Monday we went the color was red, so I bought 2 red pants (and a running skirt that was not red, but still $20-30 cheaper than retail-score!).

The other good news is that it means that I have, rather quickly, lost most of my Christmas/December/eating my feelings weight. (I was up 10lbs at the end of December, yeek!) I know. you really wanted to know that.

Even better (well... kind of) is that I haven't been consistent about going to the gym... I'm still trying to figure out how to make it fit into my life... I work pretty much from 9-8 every day, with commute times on top and, and an hour for lunch. Last night I went grocery shopping after work and didn't get home till 9:30! I've been focusing on eating lots more fruits and veggies, LOTS more. and I pack a lunch almost every day (or rather I make dinner once a week, freeze it and take it with me when I leave home). And I don't have time for baking. All this means that my lack of snacking/fairly structured eating times (I don't have a choice!) and my planning ahead with healthy stuff, is paying off. Imagine what'll happen when I'm back to going to the gym 3-4 times a week! (Which is going to have to happen soon, I'm going to be signing up for another half marathon soon)

So I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the baggy pants... I may be able to figure out how to bring them in a bit, or I'll just continue to augment my clothing with my PLETHORA of skirts and dresses. I'll just run the heater under my desk at full blast to get me through the chilly mornings and evenings, and in between.

Also--

I have a date Saturday.
(I'm getting nervous, I just keep telling myself-- I jumped out of an airplane strapped to a total stranger... WHY is this more scary than that?)
