This General Conference Sunday brought to you by the Letter Uchtdorf!

So maybe I'm playing favorites here, but I do believe that President Uchtdorf wins the favorite Apostle of the month award! After reading his talk on patience in Priesthood Session, I was told about his talk to the Young Women. Even though I've hit my mid-20's now... well, I still feel like the brethren are talking to me when they speak to the youth/young women especially, because well, I'm still one of them.
The talk in the YW general meeting, held a week before General Conference was amazing! It's title is "Your Happily Ever After." Let's be honest here, what girl does not like Fairy Tales. Even the tom-boyiest of girls still secretly dreams of the day when she will have her happily ever after. We all want that, and the Lord has given us the opportunity to have it. P. Uchtdorf said

"Isn’t that what we all desire: to be the heroes and heroines of our own stories; to triumph over adversity; to experience life in all its beauty; and, in the end, to live happily ever after?"

(YES! That's how I feel!) He continues:  "Isn’t it remarkable to know that our eternal Heavenly Father knows you, hears you, watches over you, and loves you with an infinite love? In fact, His love for you is so great that He has granted you this earthly life as a precious gift of “once upon a time,” complete with your own true story of adventure, trial, and opportunities for greatness, nobility, courage, and love. And, most glorious of all, He offers you a gift beyond price and comprehension. Heavenly Father offers to you the greatest gift of all—eternal life—and the opportunity and infinite blessing of your own “happily ever after.” But such a blessing does not come without a price. It is not given simply because you desire it. It comes only through understanding who you are and what you must become in order to be worthy of such a gift.

President Uchtdorf then goes on to talk about trials, staying true to what you know is right, and wraps it all up with the promise that The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the way to 'happily ever after'.

My favorite quote from the whole talk is this :

We all search for happiness, and we all try to find our own “happily ever after.” The truth is, God knows how to get there! And He has created a map for you; He knows the way. He is your beloved Heavenly Father, who seeks your good, your happiness. He desires with all the love of a perfect and pure Father that you reach your supernal destination. The map is available to all. It gives explicit directions of what to do and where to go to everyone who is striving to come unto Christ and “stand as [a witness] of God at all times and in all things, and in all places.” All you have to do is trust your Heavenly Father. Trust Him enough to follow His plan. 

In my life, well I'm confused, and most of the time i don't really know what's going on, I know where I'm going (or where I want to go), but getting there, the way gets dark and twisty. However, I know that All I have to do is Trust Heavenly Father, enough to follow his plan for me. I also know that Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Light. Following Him will lead me home.
