The Make Mom Happy Game.

When I was growing up, most Monday nights found my family gathered in the living room having what was called "Family Home Evening." This was a great time of family love, learning, singing, playing games and keeping updated on the family calendar.  One of our favorite games to play was called the make mom happy game. As I recall, it looked a lot like this. You drew an action card and moved either forward or back based on what the card said. The positive cards said things like "you shared with your sister, move ahead 2 spots" and the negative ones said "you smacked your brother move back 4 spaces"
Why am I sharing this information with you?
Well tonight things happened that would have me and my closest sister moving forward and backwards.
I imagine if we played the game tonight it would go something like this:
E: Studied hard for her test. 2 steps forward.
R: Dropped E off at the testing center because it was dark and cold. Move forward 2 steps
R: Found what she needed at the store for 50% off! 3 steps forward!
E: Got 20%+ better on her test than she did last year on the same test! Move 2 steps forward.
R: Came to get E at testing center. Move forward 1 step.
R: Bought shake for E to celebrate testing glory. Forward 2 steps
E: Refrained from playing the "Your team" game that mom hates. Forward 1 step (because really, R already called the one good one in the whole store. Provo isn't as good for that game as Lincoln City!)
R: Broke off a bit of E's car (where it was kind of already broken) and LIED ABOUT IT. Move back 3 steps!
E: Smacked R in the chest for breaking her car. Move back 2 steps!
R: Asked why E hit her. Move back 1 step-- She knew why!
E: Lied and told R that it was because she was jealous of her giant bazzuzums. Move back 2 steps.
R: Informed E that she did not have giant bazzuzms. (Which is truthful). Forward 1 step.
E: Replied; "oh, my mistake" there by apologizing. Forward 2 steps.
E&R: Both laughed and parted ways amicably. Forward 2 steps!

So the question is... with whom is mom most happy?
R's totals: 10 forward 4 backward= 6 positive! Mom's super happy!
E's totals: 9 forward 4 backward= 5 positive! Mom's happy!

I guess R wins the making mom the most happy game today. But only by one point. Just like on the ACT. One point....
